Re-Torque vs Torque Check — and why the record matters
Loose wheel nuts are a serious liability. A torque compliance record proves the nuts were tightened to specification, by whom, and when. Two events are kept separate, because they mean different things:
- Re-Torque — the legally required follow-up after a wheel is removed or refitted, typically around 100 km later (jurisdiction dependent).
- Torque Check — a routine verification of wheel-nut tension at any time.
